say goodbye…

…to this blog and hellloooo to the new [and so improved] blog!

The new blog address is http://www.rachaelboling.com/blog – so update your bookmarks! See you there!

By they way, this blog will still be up if you ever get in a sentimental mood and want to browse the archives for hours on end. ;)

Kacie and Adam got married in the Carillon Gardens at Clemson University. It was our first time at the gardens and we were not disappointed – it was beautiful! I love how totally into each other Kacie and Adam are! And they are both so laid back – Kacie even took her dress off and was chillin’ in some shorts between taking photos and when the ceremony started – awesome! There was absolutely no drama, just loooove! :)

It rained a little during the ceremony so the preacher stopped to say a quick prayer asking God to stop the rain…and He did… a few minutes later it stopped. Everyone was all smiles anyway though, and it made for some cool umbrella pictures! Hey…it is all about the pictures; right???

Anyway…speaking of pictures….

uh, kacie is gorgeous. there, i said it.

the ladies!

the [oh so contemplative] men!

i love this shot:

the ceremony begins…

this little guy was right behind me…so cute!

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again – Na’Imah and Carlos rock. They are truly amazing. After several portrait sessions and their wedding, we have come to simply adore them! Their wedding was filled to the brim with emotion and love – which is exactly the kind of wedding we love to shoot :) I could go on forever about them but I’ll stop talking now because I have a plethora of photos to share! Enjoy!

Na’Imah’s shoes were her “something old” The bridesmaids thought it was funny that I was even taking a picture of them….but I love them!

The moms! Na’Imah’s mom:

and Carlos’ mom:

The sword detail after the ceremony – so cool!

Na’Imah and Carlos chillin’ in the alley behind the reception site.

Na’Imah and Carlos ordered several HUGE prints from their engagement and bridal session to hang on the walls in the reception site. We were so stoked – they looked awesome! Have I mentioned I love big prints? It’s true.

The end. :)

For Na’Imah’s bridal session we knocked on a stranger’s door (and then totally trespassed), got kicked out of a train yard by the police (a very nice policeman though), and walked on a bridge that we were not so sure could hold us. Na’Imah and her wonderful mom went right along with us and, if I do say so myself, it was definitely worth it! Check out these photos!

I love this shot Tyler got:

my favorite:

Isn’t Na’Imah ridiculously beautiful!!!???!

ahh, sunbeams :)

Images from Na’Imah and Carlos’ wedding to come soon!

I have the most amazing clients. I really do. Kelly was a bride that just made me love my job and by the day of the wedding I felt as if we’d been friends forever. Robbie’s pretty awesome too. :) One of the things I love about them is they are so obviously into each other…and both of them are hilariously funny. If you don’t believe me, scroll down to the last photo on this post. Point proven.

Kelly’s first look in the mirror:

I love this shot of Kelly, her dad, and Robbie. They all look so happy.

The lovely ladies:

Check out these expressions from the adorable flower girl! So funny!

The men:

Time for some dancing! Break it down!

My favorite :)

go green baby.

I recently had the awesome opportunity to shoot The Cliffs showcase green home. Postcard from Paris did the interior design, which was amazing (as always), and Johnston Design Group did the architecture.

I learned tons about environmentally-friendly furniture, building supplies and design. One of my favorite things about the house is the accordion style doors that open in the living room and dining room to let a breeze drift from one side of the house to the other – so refreshing!

a closeup of the dining room table:

We also took some pictures of some not as photogenic green elements in the house…including the dual flush toilet. :)

First of all, I must apologize to all you wonderful blog readers, I have neglected you for far too long. Please, if you can find it deep within your heart, forgive me.

Ok, now that that’s out of the way, check out the amazingly stunning Kelly. More to come from Kelly and Robbie’s wedding soon!

Here are more images from Ashley and Paul’s maternity session. Little Opie should be out in the big wide world by now :) I can’t wait to meet him! By the way, Ashley drew the mural that is on the wall in a few of these pictures. They have the cutest nursery ever!

There is no way I can express how blessed I feel to not only have a job that I love, but also to have such AMAZING clients. I couldn’t ask to photograph a more loving, fun, and up for anything couple than Na’Imah and Carlos.

Thank you guys for being so cool! Tyler and I have had a great time getting to know you – and can’t wait for the wedding….which is SO SOON! :)

Here is a sneak peak at a photo from a maternity session of the fabulous Ashley and her husband Paul. Ashley is an awesome photographer and graphic designer! They are having a little boy ANY DAY NOW. :)

More photos of this session to come soon!
